- Open the Facebook page.
- Under the cover photo, you will see the CTA button with ‘Add a button’ label, click on it.
- (If you have added another CTA button, click on ‘Edit …’ button’).
- Select the ‘Follow’ options from the list of CTA buttons.
Now, your Facebook follow button should be active on the Facebook page.
You can check this by viewing the Facebook page as a visitor and you should see the ‘Follow’ button under the cover photo.

Measure if the Follow button got you more Facebook page likes
This call to action button on your Facebook page is one of the most valuable assets so you should make sure that it brings you results.
Fortunately, we can easily measure if the follow button is adding any new followers to the page or not.
What you should do is simply measure one month before adding the Follow button and how many new followers you added to the page.
Do the same basic calculation one month after you added the Follow button. This way, you can clearly see whether the Follow button helped you get more Facebook page likes.
How to change the follow button to another CTA button?
If you see that the ‘Follow’ button didn’t significantly increase the number of new followers on your Facebook page, then simply change it to something more useful.
