How To Add Or Delete Files In A Facebook Group? [In 2022]

A very useful Facebook group feature is the ability to upload files to the Facebook group.

How to add the Files tab to a Facebook group?

You can add the Files tab to your Facebook group by creating a Facebook post where you also upload a file.

Once you have created this Facebook group post, the Files tab should be automatically created by Facebook. You will be able to reach it by click on the ‘More’ tab.

How to add files to the Facebook group?

 Here is how to add files to a Facebook group:

1. Open the Facebook group
2. Click on ‘What’s on your mind?’
3. Click on three dots.
4. Select ‘Files’.
5. Click on ‘Choose a File’ and upload a file from your computer.
6. Click on ‘Post’.

Once the Facebook group post is published, the file should be also uploaded to the Facebook group.

If you can’t find the Files tab, then it is most likely hidden from the tab list. You can reach the Files tab by click on the More tab, as you can see in this picture:

If you don’t find it there, you might have to create the first post with a file uploaded so that the Facebook group tab can be activated.

How to remove files from the Facebook group?

If you no longer need a specific file in your Facebook group, you can easily delete them.

Here is how to remove files from a Facebook group:

1. Click on the ‘More’ tab.
2. Then select ‘Files’
3. Search for the file you want to delete.
4. Click on the three dots next to it.
5. Click on ‘See’ original posts
6. On the post, click on the three dots again.
7. Select ‘Remove’.
8. Confirm deleting the group post with the uploaded file.

When you delete the Facebook group post, the uploaded file should be also deleted.

Keep in mind that you have to be a Facebook group admin or the person who uploaded the file to be able to delete it.
