When is the best time to post on LinkedIn based on Day and Time?
The days and times that allowed users to garner more engagement in the professional business platform of LinkedIn have since varied from the start of the pandemic to the current year of 2022. In determining the best time, various companies such as Social Sprout, HubSpot, Buffer, Oberlo, Quintly, and The Balance SMB conducted studies and research.
According to the recommendations of the companies above, four of them indicated both day and time. In contrast, the other two companies only mentioned time slots. In detail, here is the time and day as recommended by each company:
- HubSpot: Between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesdays
- Sprout Social: From 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and at noon on Wednesdays, 9:00 AM and between 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursdays, and at 9:00 AM on Fridays
- Buffer: Between 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- Oberlo: Between 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
The other two, Quintly and The Balance SMB, suggest 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Quintly also adds noon to its recommended hours.
When is the best time to post on LinkedIn based on Research Statistics?
From the studies made by the companies above, there was a noticeable trend that signifies the global best times to post on LinkedIn despite the differences in results. Sunday is the worst day to post on LinkedIn, while Mondays to Saturdays are the best days. Although dubbed as the best days to schedule a post, some weekdays lack specified times.
Below is the result after analyzing 100,000 posts and engagement rates made on Instagram on a global scale. The Influencer Marketing Hub made the calculations, thus:
The best days with specific times are the following:
- Wednesday – 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 12:00 PM
- Thursday – from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
- Friday – 9:00 AM
On the other hand, the best times are:
- Wednesday – 3:00 PM
- Thursday – from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Friday – from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
In a ranking created by HubSpot per their research, the best times to post on LinkedIn also occupy a hierarchy. Posting at 9:00 AM on a Friday is the worst “best” time to publish a post – while posting at noon on a Wednesday provides the topmost best time. Posting between 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays comes in at second, posting at 9:00 AM on Thursdays comes in at third, and posting between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays is at second to the last.
Due to the pandemic, however, some companies have modified their recommended days and time.
When is the best time to post on Linked In based on your LinkedIn profile analytics?
Based on your profile analytics, between two to five times a week is the best time to post in line with HubSpot’s research. In this strategy, you do not solely post aimlessly by following the frequency remarked by HubSpot. A whole lot of factors come into play in determining the best time to post on LinkedIn.
For instance, it is integral to know your market audience first by conducting market research. After you have tabulated the time where your target audience can view your posts, the best match would be quality content. Once you have established your strategy, you can expand your posting schedule from there, as one size fits all’ does not apply to everything.
