How to leave a Facebook group?
So if you want to leave a Facebook group completely, here is the step by step you have to do:
- Open the Facebook group you want to leave
- Click on the ‘Joined’ button.
- Select ‘Leave group’
- Confirm that you want to leave the group by clicking on ‘Leave Group’ again.
If everything went smoothly, you should no longer be a member of the Facebook group.
The page should be refreshed in a couple of seconds and you should no longer see the posts in the group if it is a public Facebook group.
If it is a private Facebook group, you will still be able to see the posts in the Facebook group.
Join a Facebook group after leaving it
If you change your mind and want to be a member of the Facebook group again, no worries, you can join again.
Here is how to join back to a Facebook group:
- Open the Facebook group you have left.
- Click on ‘Join Group’.
- Answer any necessary questions.
- Click on ‘Submit’.
If the admins approve your request, you should be able to join the group even after you have left it.
Can’t leave a Facebook group
There shouldn’t be any issues with leaving the Facebook group.
The only scenario when you can’t leave a Facebook group is when you are the only Facebook group admin of the group.
In this case, add someone as a Facebook group admin first, then you can leave the Facebook group any time you want.
