Can’t Add Someone to a Linkedin Ad Account

LinkedIn’s Campaign Manager is a comprehensive tool that marketers from all skill sets can use.

That being said, there are a few reasons why you may not be able to add someone as a user to your account. The first is the degree of connections the user you are trying to add to your Account is.

LinkedIn has several degrees of connections, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. 1st-degree connections are those you have already connected with. 2nd-degree connections are people connected to your 1st-degree connections, and 3rd-degree connections are the lowest degree of connection you can have. These are people connected to your 2nd-degree of connections who you are not yet connected with.

The user you want to add to your account must be a 3rd-degree connection or less otherwise you won’t be able to add them to your account.

To make life easier in the long run it’s best to connect with users you know you’ll be working with on your Ad campaigns.

The second problem people come across when adding others to their LinkedIn Ad Account has to do with permissions. For instance, if you are trying to assign a user as a billing admin to your Campaign Manager Account in the first instance, you won’t be able to do so until you make them an account manager.
