But here is the main gist of it: YouTube brand accounts are specifically for companies and brand that want to manage multiple YouTube channels and also don’t want to connect their Google accounts directly to the YouTube channel.
How to create a YouTube brand account?
Here is how to create a YouTube brand account:
- First, check if you have already created one, by opening this link: https://myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts
- If not, sign in to your YouTube channel.
- Open this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel_switcher
- Click to ‘Create Channel’
- Add a Channel name, check the box
- Click on ‘Create’.
If you went through these steps, your YouTube brand account should be created.
Setup steps after creating a YouTube brand account
Once you have created a YouTube brand account, here are some YouTube brand account setup steps you should take:
- Add access to channel managers
- move YouTube channels to this YouTube brand account
Can’t create a YouTube Brand account
In most cases, you should be able to create a YouTube brand account if you follow the steps we have outlined above.
However, if you have already given access to other people to manage the channel via the YouTube studio permission settings then you need to remove those accesses first before you would be able to create a brand account on YouTube.
