This way you don’t need to add users to the Business Manager one by one and you can manage the permissions and roles for the employee of the agency in one central place.
So in this short tutorial, we are going to show you how to add partners to Business Manager, what are the requirements for adding partners to your Business Manager and what you can do if you can’t add partners to the Facebook BM.
So without further ado, let’s see how to give partners access to a Business Manager.
How to add partners to Facebook Business Manager?
- Open up the Facebook Business Manager account
- Click on the hamburger menu, then select ‘Business Settings’
- On the left column, click on ‘Partner’ under the ‘Users’ section.
- Here you can see all the partners you have already added to your Business Manager.
- To add a new partner to Business Manager, click on ‘Add’.
- You will see a dropdown here. Select ‘Give a partner access to your assets’ option.
- Next, you need to add the Business ID of your partner’s Business Manager. You can read our tutorial on how to find the Business ID here.
- Once you have added the Business ID of your partner, click on ‘Next’.
- Here you have to select first the type of assets you want to add access to. Then select the specific asset that you want to give access to the partner. Finally, you have to specify the permission the partner and its users will have over the asset:
- Once you added all the assets that you wanted your partner to have permission to, click on ‘Save Changes’

How request access to a partner’s Business Manager assets?
- Open up the Facebook Business Manager account where you want add a partner to
- Click on the hamburger menu, then select ‘Business Settings’
- On the left column, click on ‘Partner’ under the ‘Users’ section.
- Here you see all the partners you have already added to your Business Manager.
- To add a new partner to Business Manager, click on ‘Add’.
- You will see a dropdown here. Select ‘Ask a partner to share their assets’ option.
- Next, click on ‘Get Started’.
- As you can see, you have to add your Contact Name, Email and your Business ID first. Then you have to add your role and the partner role in the partnership.
- Once you filled in everything, click on ‘Request Assets type’.
- Next, you have to select which types of assets you want to have access to and the permission levels,
- Then click on ‘Confirm and Review’.
- Confirm it.
If you no longer work with a partner you have to remove that partner from the Business Manager as well as they shouldn’t have access to your assets anymore. Here is how to do it:

- Open the Facebook Business Manager account where the partner is added to.
- Click on the ‘Business Settings’ page from the hamburger menu
- Under the ‘Users’ section click on ‘Partner’
- Here you will see all the partners you have shared assets with.
- Click on the one you want to remove from the BM
- In the top right corner, you should see a ‘Remove’ button, click on it.
- Confirm that you want to remove this partner from the Business Manager
