Deactivating a Facebook page can be useful if you want to make bigger changes on the Facebook page or if you want to temporarily hide the Facebook page for any reason whatsoever.
You can also deactivate a Facebook page forever and still have access to the Facebook posts you have shared on the page as an admin or as a Facebook page editor.

Deactivating a Facebook page temporarily
As we said, you have the opportunity to deactivate a Facebook page temporarily.
This means that the Facebook page will be hidden from the public and only the Facebook page admin, editors and other people with access to the Facebook page will be able to see the page and its posts.
Regular Facebook page fans, people who follow the FB page won’t see the Facebook page and even posts where they previously commented will be gone from their activity history.
