How to add Featured Videos to a Facebook page?

Features Facebook Videos are videos that are added by the Facebook page admin to the Spotlight Video panel.

What do you need to set up Featured videos on the top of your Facebook page?

There is only one thing you need to do before you can set up Spotlight videos for your Facebook page. You need to change your existing Facebook page template to the video page template.

Here is how to change your Facebook page template to video page:

1. Open the Facebook page
2. Click on ‘Settings’ on the left column
3. Click on ‘Templates and Tab”.
4. Click on ‘Edit’.
5. Select ‘Video page’.
6. Click on ‘Apply template’

Once you changed your Facebook page template to Video page template, you can start adding featured videos to Facebook Spotlight panel.

How to set up Facebook Spotlight videos?

Here is how to set up Facebook Spotlight videos:

1. Open the Facebook page.
2. Click on ‘Choose video’
3. Select the videos you want to add to the Spotlight
4. You can also add titles to the featured videos you choose
5. To add a video click on the ‘Save button’.
6. Once you added all the videos, click on ‘Save’ in the bottom.’
7. The Spotlight video panel should be now visible on your Facebook page above your Facebook posts.

How many videos can you add to Spotlight?

Currently, you can only add five featured videos to Facebook Spotlight.

If you don’t specifically choose videos to Spotlight, your most popular videos will appear there.

If you go live on your Facebook page, your Facebook live broadcast will automatically appear in the Spotlight section.

Remove a video from Facebook Spotlight

As you can only add five featured videos to the Facebook Spotlight panel, you might want to remove a video from Facebook Spotlight, so another one has a place to appear.

Here is how to remove a Featured Facebook video from the Spotlight panel:

1. Open the Facebook page.
2. Go to the Featured video you want to remove.
3. Click on the three dots.
4. Click on ‘Remove from Spotlight’.

The featured video should be deleted from Facebook Spotlight.

Can’t set up Facebook Spotlight videos

There are two main reasons why you won’t be able to set up Facebook Spotlight videos.

First, as we have mentioned in the first half of the article, you can only set up the Facebook Spotlight Video panel, if you are using the Video page Facebook template. If you are not, you have to switch to the video page template.

Secondly, if you are not the Facebook page admin on the page, then you won’t be able to add Spotlight videos to the Facebook Page.

So you either have to send this tutorial to the Facebook page admin, or request admin access to the Facebook page if you want to add Spotlight videos to the Facebook page.
