Here is how to hide your subscriptions on YouTube:
- Sign in to YouTube
- Click on your YouTube channel profile picture in the top right corner
- Click on ‘Settings’
- Select ‘Privacy’ from the left sidebar
- Turn on ‘Keep all my subscriptions private’
Once you go through this process, your YouTube subscriptions should be hidden from the channels you are subscribed to.
What happens when you hide subscriptions on YouTube?
If you don’t make your YouTube subscriptions private, YouTube channels can see the name of your YouTube channel on their YouTube subscriber list.
They can see your channel name, how many subscribers you have and when you have subscribed to their YouTube channel.
When you hide your YouTube subscriptions, your channel will be removed from this list and they will have no idea if you are subscribed to them or not.
However, some data about your channel will still be available in the YouTube analytics reports in an aggregated format and it will be also completely anonymized, so they can’t track you down and contact you.
Can’t set channel subscriptions private
If you follow the instructions above, you should be able to set your YouTube subscriptions private so nobody other than you can see to which YouTube channels you are subscribed to.

- choose a YouTube channel name with not your real name
