There are multiple reasons why you might want to post anonymously on a Facebook group. In this Facebook group tutorial, we are going to show you two ways how to post anonymously on a Facebook group with your personal account or as a page.
We are also going to show how to turn on anonymous posting if you are the admin of a Facebook group. In certain niches, this can encourage people to share their sensitive questions, stories, so it can boost the Facebook group engagement (which is always a good thing).

There are two ways how you can post in a Facebook group without revealing your identity:
- post anonymously on a Facebook group if it is enabled
- post anonymously on a Facebook group as a Facebook page
Let’s see how both of them can be done.
How to post anonymously on a Facebook group?
Here is how to post anonymously on a Facebook group:
- Open the Facebook group
- Under the ‘What’s on your mind’ section, click on ‘Anonymous post’
- Then click on ‘Create Anonymous post’
- Add your posts.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Keep in mind that when you post anonymously on a Facebook group, the admin and the moderators of the Facebook group can still see your name.
An admin or a Facebook group moderator also has to approve an anonymous Facebook group post before it gets published to the Facebook group.
Post anonymously as a Facebook page in a Facebook group
Even if anonymously posting is not enabled in the group, you can still post anonymously on a Facebook group.
All you have to do is to join as a Facebook page in a Facebook group. Here you can find a tutorial about this:
Once you manage to join a Facebook group as a Facebook page, you can also comment and share posts as a Facebook page and stay completely anonymous.
So people will only see the Facebook page as the OP or in the comment section. They will have no idea who is behind the Facebook page.
Can’t post anonymously on a Facebook group
If you can’t post anonymously on a Facebook group, it probably means that the admin of the Facebook group didn’t turn on anonymous posting in the Facebook group.
If you want the admin to turn on anonymous posting, send him this tutorial, as in the next paragraph we will show you step by step how anonymous posting can be turned on.

Can you post anonymously on Facebook?
As we have shown, there are two ways to post anonymously in a Facebook group.
If we think outside of Facebook groups, when it comes to Facebook in general, you can also be anonymous when posting to the news feed of Facebook.
All you have to do is create a Facebook page and then you can share your posts and thoughts anonymously without anyone knowing who is behind that Facebook page. You can also create a business Facebook page without a personal Facebook account.
