How to disconnect Instagram from a Facebook page on Facebook?
Here is how to disconnect Instagram from Facebook:
- Open up the Facebook page that you want to unlink from an Instagram business account
- Click on ‘Settings’ on the left sidebar menu
- Then on the left sidebar again, click on ‘Instagram’
- If the Facebook page is connected to an Instagram account, you should see info about the link Instagram account there.
- Scroll down on this page, until you see ‘Disconnect Instagram’ Account. Click on the Disconnect button.
- A popup will appear where you have to confirm that you want to disconnect the Facebook page and the Instagram account.
- If you are sure, click on the ‘Disconnect’ button again.
Facebook will let you know that you can reconnect the IG account any time you want.
How to change the Facebook page that is connected to an Instagram account?
The second option you have to unlink an Instagram account from a Facebook page is to link the Instagram account to another Facebook page you own and then the FB page that is currently linked to the Instagram business account will be automatically unlinked.
- Open up the Facebook page that you want to connect to an Instagram business account
- Click on ‘Settings’ on the left sidebar menu
- Then on the left sidebar again, click on ‘Instagram’
- If you haven’t connected an Instagram business account yet to the Facebook page, you will see a screen something like this:
- Click on the blue ‘Connect Account’ button.
How to unlink a Facebook page from an Instagram business account from Instagram?
It is also very easy to unlink a Facebook page from an Instagram business account. However, you can only disconnect a Facebook page by linking to another one. You can do that by going through the following process:
- Go to the Instagram profile that you want to unlink from a Facebook page.
- Tap on ‘Edit Profile’.
- Under ‘Public Business Information’, tap on ‘Page’.
- You will see the list of Facebook pages you have admin access to and to which FB page the Instagram account is linked to.
- If you want to unlink it from the current Facebook page, you have to select another Facebook page as the connected FB page or create a new Facebook page.
- Tap Done after you’ve selected a Page or created a new Page.
Disconnect personal Instagram profile from Facebook
If you have a personal Instagram profile, then you can unlink it from a Facebook profile by following these steps:
- Go to the Instagram profile you want to unlink and tap the Hamburger menu
- Tap Settings on the bottom of the Screen.
- Tap Account, then Linked Accounts.
- Tap Facebook, and then tap Unlink Account (on an iPhone) or Unlink (on an Android).
- Tap Yes, Unlink to confirm that you want to unlink Instagram from Facebook.
