How to share the Facebook Pixel?

Here is how to share the Facebook Pixel:

1. Open the Business Settings section in your Facebook Business Manager

2. In the left sidebar, click on ‘Data Sources’, then ‘Pixels’
3. Here you will see all the Facebook Pixel that have been created in this Facebook Business Manager. Choose the FB Pixel you would like to add People to.
4. You can add People to your Facebook Pixel by either clicking on the ‘Add People’ button or by first clicking on the ‘People’ tab and then click on the ‘Add People’ button.
5. First, you have to choose the people or the person who you want to share the Facebook Pixel with.

6. Then choose the Access level the person will have to the FB Pixel.
7. As the last step, click on ‘Assign’.

Admin vs Standard Access to the Facebook Pixel

You can choose between two kinds of access levels in Facebook Business Manager when you assign people to your Facebook Pixel. (Facebook Pixel is now known as Meta Pixel).

With Standard access to the Facebook Pixel the assigned person will be able to view and analyze the performance of the Facebook Pixel. He also will be able to set the Facebook Pixel in FB conversion ad campaigns.

By adding a person with admin access, she will be able to do basically anything with the Facebook pixels in this Facebook BM account. She will be able to create, edit Facebook Pixel, add new Pixel events or remove older events. She will be able to add other users as well to the Facebook Pixel.

Share the Facebook Pixel with Other Facebook Business Manager

The second option you have to share the Facebook Pixel is to share it with everyone in another Facebook Business Manager. This might be the easiest option if you are working with a FB ad agency and you want to share your Facebook Pixel with everyone who is working with that particular agency.

To share a Facebook Pixel with another Facebook BM account, here is what you have to do:

1. Navigate to the Business Settings page of your Facebook Business Manager
2. Under the Data Sources section, click on ‘Facebook Pixel’
3. Here you will be able to see all the Facebook Pixel you have access to. Chose the FB Pixel you want to share with another business.
4. To share with another Facebook BM, click on the ‘Assign Partners’ button.
5. You will see the following popup window appear.

6. All you have to do is add the Facebook Business ID of the Business Manager you want to share the Facebook Pixel with.
7. Once you copied the Business ID, you have to choose the access level of the Business Manager. You have the same options (Admin and Standard Access) that we have explained in the paragraph above.
8. Once you chose the access level of the business, click on ‘Next’.
9. In the next window, you have to select the type of relationship you will have with the business and what activities they will do for you.
10. As the last step, you have to accept Facebook Business Tool Terms to be able to share the Facebook Pixel with the other Facebook Business Manager.

Share the Facebook Pixel across Facebook Ad Accounts

The third option you have on this page is to share the Facebook Pixel with other Facebook Ad Accounts. This is recommended when you create multiple Facebook Ad accounts but you want to use the same Facebook Pixel for using all of them.

The process of sharing your Facebook Pixel across Ad Accounts starts the same way as the process of sharing a Facebook Pixel with another Business Manager or with specific people in your Facebook BM.

1. Navigate to the Business Settings page of your Facebook Business Manager
2. Under the Data Sources section, click on ‘Facebook Pixel’
3. Here you will be able to see all the Facebook Pixel you have access to. Chose the FB Pixel you want to share across your Facebook Ad accounts.
4. Here, click on the ‘Add Assets’ button to be able to share the FB Pixel with other Ad Accounts.
5. In this new window, you will be able to see all the Facebook Ad Accounts this FB Business Manager has access to. Select the ones you would like to share the Facebook Pixel with and click on the ‘Add’ button.

How to share the Facebook Pixel with an Agency?

There are multiple ways how you can share the Facebook Pixel with the FB Ad agency you are working with. You can either share the Facebook Pixel with the person who will manage the advertising campaign from the agency but in that case, you have to add that person to the Facebook Business Manager before sharing the Pixel with her.

For this reason, it is easier to share the Facebook Pixel or multiple Facebook Pixels with the Business Manager of the Advertising Agency you work with. In this case, everyone in that Business Manager will be able to access your Facebook Pixel.

What are the access level Options to a Facebook Pixel?

You can either have admin or standard access to a Facebook Pixel.
