If you turned on Facebook Timeline Review, you can review Facebook posts and photos where you are tagged in before they would get published on your Facebook profile
In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to approve tags in Facebook posts and photos.

How to approve tags on Facebook?
Here is how to approve tags on Facebook:
- Click on the down arrow in the top right corner
- Select ‘Settings and Privacy’
- Then click on ‘Activity Log’.
- Click on ‘Timeline, Photo and Tag Review’ on the left column.
- Then select ‘Review posts you are tagged in’.
- Here you will see all the Facebook posts you need to approve or ignore.
- To approve a Facebook post, you need to click on the ‘Confirm’ button.
- To decline the posts, click on ‘Ignore.’

How to approve tags in my Facebook post?
As you can see you can also review tags in Facebook posts you have shared.
So if you post on Facebook, and someone adds a tag to it, you also have the option to disapprove that tag.
Can’t approve Facebook posts where I’m tagged
If you want to approve Facebook posts where you are tagged but tagged posts automatically appear on your Facebook timeline, it means you haven’t turned on Facebook Timeline review.

Using Facebook recognition AI, Facebook can also identify photos where you are not tagged in but the algorithm thinks you are on a photo.
To review these kinds of Facebook photos:
- Open up Facebook.
- Click on the down arrow in the top right corner
- Select ‘Settings and Privacy’
- Then click on ‘Activity Log’.
- Click on ‘Timeline, Photo and Tag Review’ on the left column.
- Then select ‘Review phots you might be in’
- You can either click on ‘Tag Yourself’ to tag yourself on the photo
- Or click ‘Not Me’ if they falsely identified someone as you in the photo
This type of photo recognition will only be active if you have turned on face recognition in your Facebook account.
