How to post a job on Facebook page? [in 2022]
Here is how to post a job on a Facebook page:
- Open the Facebook page.
- Click on ‘Job’ under the ‘Create post’ button.
- Add A job title, a work location, and a description
- Also specify the job type (full-time, part-time, internship, etc.)
- You can add salary information. (optional)
- You can also add screening questions. (optional)
- If you want to receive the applications on email as well, you can add that here.
- You can also upload a photo to the job post.
- Click on ‘Next’.
- In this last step, you can choose whether you want the job post to appear on your Facebook page or only on the public Facebook job board.
- Then click ‘Post’

How to advertise a job listing on a Facebook page?
As you can see, in the last step you can also choose to boost a Facebook post.
It means that you can advertise it so it not only appears on your Facebook page but it gets pushed out to a broader audience you have specified.
If you want to boost this job post, just check the box ‘Boost Job’, then the post will also appear in more places such as in the News Feed.
You can also boost a Facebook job post later, by simply boosting the job post.
Why can’t I post a job on Facebook?
There are four main reasons why you might not be able to post a job on Facebook.
If you don’t have a Facebook page, you won’t be able to post a job on your personal Facebook profile. Here is how to create a Facebook business page.
You also have to be a Facebook page admin to be able to post a job on a Facebook page. So either send this tutorial on how to post a job to Facebook to the admin of the Facebook page or you can also request admin access to the Facebook page.
Last but not least, you might not be able to post a job on Facebook if your profile has been created in the last 60 days.
But don’t worry in either of these cases, at the end of this post, we will show you two ways how you can still post a job on Facebook.

Managing posted Facebook jobs
Once you posted a Facebook job post, you can also edit, renew, close or delete the job posts. Let’s see how to do each of them.
How to edit a job post on Facebook?
If you want to edit a job post after the job post has been created, you can do so.
Here is how to edit a job post on Facebook:
- Open the Facebook page.
- Click on ‘Manage Jobs’ in the left column.
- You will see all the job posts you have created on this page.
- Click on the pencil icon of the job post you want to modify.
- Edit the job post, then click on ‘Save’.
How to renew a Facebook job post?
You might know that a job post on Facebook will automatically expire after 30 days. Fortunately, you can renew a Facebook job post if you haven’t found the right persona after 30 days.
Here is how to renew Facebook job posts.
- Open the Facebook page.
- Click on ‘Manage Jobs’ in the left column.
- Search for the job post you want to renew and click on the three dots.
- Select ‘Renew Job’.
Now the Facebook job post will be active for 30 more days and you didn’t have to recreate it from scratch.
How to close a Facebook job post?
If you filled a position and no longer want to receive applications for your job post, you can also close a job post, so nobody can apply to the Facebook job post anymore.
Here is how to close a Facebook job post:
- Open the Facebook page where the Facebook job post was created.
- Click on ‘Manage Jobs’ in the left column.
- Click on the three dots of the job post you want to close
- Click on ‘Close Job’
How to delete a Facebook job post?
Last but not least, you can also delete a Facebook job post if you no longer need it. Just search for the Facebook job post on the ‘Manage Jobs’ page, and select ‘Delete Post’.
Other ways to post a job on Facebook
There are two other ways to post a job on Facebook if you don’t want to or can’t post the job on a Facebook page:
- Post the job on your Facebook profile
- post the job on the Facebook marketplace
Post the job on your Facebook profile
If you post the job on your Facebook profile, the job post will only appear on your personal Facebook profile, so the reach will be probably lower.
You also can’t specify salary, job description, and all the other features of the Facebook job post we have shown you above.
You also can’t boost a Facebook post on your personal Facebook profile, but you can encourage your Facebook friends to share the post.
Post the job on the Facebook marketplace
The second and better option is to post the job on Facebook marketplace. It is almost as good as posting on your Facebook page, so if you don’t have a Facebook page, then this is definitely the better option to find employees, freelancers on Facebook.
