Why can’t I post a job on Facebook?

If you want to edit a job post after the job post has been created, you can do so.

Here is how to edit a job post on Facebook:

  1. Open the Facebook page.

  3. You will see all the job posts you have created on this page.
  4. Click on the pencil icon of the job post you want to modify.
  5. Edit the job post, then click on ‘Save’.

How to renew a Facebook job post?

You might know that a job post on Facebook will automatically expire after 30 days.  Fortunately, you can renew a Facebook job post if you haven’t found the right persona after 30 days.

Here is how to renew Facebook job posts.

  1. Open the Facebook page.
  2. Click on ‘Manage Jobs’ in the left column.
  3. Search for the job post you want to renew and click on the three dots.
  4. Select ‘Renew Job’.

Now the Facebook job post will be active for 30 more days and you didn’t have to recreate it from scratch.

How to close a Facebook job post?

If you filled a position and no longer want to receive applications for your job post, you can also close a job post, so nobody can apply to the Facebook job post anymore.

  3. Click on the three dots of the job post you want to close

If you post the job on your Facebook profile, the job post will only appear on your personal Facebook profile, so the reach will be probably lower.

You also can’t boost a Facebook post on your personal Facebook profile, but you can encourage your Facebook friends to share the post.

Post the job on the Facebook marketplace

The second and better option is to post the job on Facebook marketplace. It is almost as good as posting on your Facebook page, so if you don’t have a Facebook page, then this is definitely the better option to find employees, freelancers on Facebook.
