What is the Facebook Ad ID?
The Facebook Ad ID is a unique identifier that makes it easy to identify one specific ad out of the thousands of Ads that can be present in one Facebook Ad Account.
Knowing a specific Facebook Ad ID can be useful for instance when you analyze the performance of a Facebook Ad outside of Facebook Ads Manager in a Google Sheets or in an Excel table and you want to identify one specific Ad.
How to find the Facebook Ad ID?
Here is how to find the Facebook Ad ID:
- Open the Facebook Ads Manager
- Go to the Facebook Ads tab.
- Click on ‘Columns’.
- Scroll down on the drop-down, and select ‘Customize Column…’.
- Search for ‘Ad ID’ in the search field.
- Then select the ‘Ad ID’ to be added to the columns.
- You can also drag it up in the metric list.
- Then click on ‘Apply’.
- Now you will see in the Reporting table the Ad ID for each individual Ad.
Facebook Ad ID vs Ad post ID
It is important not to confuse the Facebook Ad ID with the Facebook Post ID. They are completely different IDs.
Every Facebook Ad has a unique Facebook As ID, but multiple Facebook Ads can have the same Facebook Ad post inside them, so multiple Ad IDs can have the same Ad Post IDs.

What is the Facebook Ad Set ID?
The Facebook Ad Set ID is the unique identifier of a Facebook Ad Set.
As you probably know, one Facebook Ad Set can have many Facebook ads inside it and it defines mainly the targeting and the placement of the ads that are inside it.
How to find the Facebook Ad Set ID?
To find a Facebook Ad Set ID of an Ad Set:
- Open the Facebook Ads Manager
- Go to the Facebook Ad Set tab.
- Click on ‘Columns’.
- Scroll down on the drop-down, and select ‘Customize Column…’.
- Search for ‘Ad Set ID’ in the search field.
- Then select the ‘Ad Set ID’ to be added to the columns.
- You can also bring it up to show up first in the columns.
- Then click on ‘Apply’.
- Now you will see the Ad Set ID for each Ad Sets.
What is the Facebook Campaign ID?
The Facebook Campaign ID is a unique identifier of a Facebook advertising campaign. One Facebook Ad Campaign can have multiple Facebook Ad Sets.
Inside a Facebook campaign, you can define the campaign objective and if it is a CBO the budget of the campaign as well.
How to find the Facebook campaign ID?
To find a Facebook Campaign ID of a Facebook Campaign
- Open the Facebook Ads Manager
- Go to the ‘Campaigns’ tab.
- Click on ‘Columns’.
- Scroll down on the drop-down, and select ‘Customize Column…’.
- Search for ‘Campaign ID’ in the search field.
- Then select the ‘Campaign ID’ to be added to the columns.
- You can also bring it up to show up first in the columns.
- Then click on ‘Apply’.
- Now you will see the Campaign ID for each Facebook Campaign.
