There are three main ways how you can hide a Facebook page comment:
- hiding the Facebook page comment manually (shown in the next paragraph)
- hiding certain Facebook page comments by adding a block keywords list
- hiding certain Facebook page comments by turning on the profanity filter.
How to hide a comment on a Facebook page post?
Here is how to hide a Facebook page comment manually:
- Go to the Facebook post.
- Search for the Facebook comment you want to hide.
- Click on the three dots next to the comment.
- Then select ‘Hide comment’.
- Confirm that you want to hide by clicking on ‘Ok’.
What happens when you hide a Facebook post comment?
When you hide a Facebook page comment, it will be hidden from the average Facebook page visitor but it will be still visible to the person who added the comment and to their friends.
So the person whose comment was hidden has no idea that his comment is hidden.
If you want to see all the Hidden comments under a Facebook post, you can see them by changing the ‘Most relevant’ comment filter to ‘Hidden by this page’.

Other ways to hide Facebook page comments
As we have mentioned, there are other ways to hide a Facebook comment.
But unlike the manual method we have shown you, these are semi-automated or completely automated techniques, the comments will get hidden based on a keyword list provided by you or by the Facebook algorithm.

Can’t hide Facebook page comment
If you find that you can’t hide a Facebook page comment, make sure to check out your current Facebook page role. Only Facebook page admin, editors or moderators are able to manually hide Facebook post comments.

How to unhide Facebook page comments?
If you change your mind and want to unhide a Facebook comment:
- Go to the Facebook page post.
- Click on ‘Most Relevant’
- Change it to ‘Hidden by this page’
- Click on the three dots next to the hidden comment.
- Select ‘Unhide comment’.
The Facebook comment has been unhidden, now it is visible under the page post again.
