If you want to do things as a pro on Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp, you have to create and set up a Meta Business Account.
In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to create a Meta Business account and what are the next steps once you have set up a new Meta Business Suite account and why you can’t create a new Meta Business Suite account.
(Note: Meta Business Suite used to be called Facebook Business Suite, so I use these terms A Meta Business Account interchangeably. Also, the process of creating a Meta Business account is almost the same as creating a legacy Facebook Business Manager account.)
How to create a Meta Business Account?
To create a new Meta Business account:
- Open the URL https://business.facebook.com/overview
- Click on ‘Create Account’
- Enter the name of the Meta Business account
- Then add your name and your business email address.
- Click on ‘Submit’
- Then add some more details about the business account.
And that’s about it, you have created a new Meta Business account that you can use right now.
How to set up a Meta Business account?
The main reason why you need to create a Meta Business account is that then you can add business assets to it and manage the assets within the Meta Business account.
You can add and remove assets and you can also add people and agencies to certain business assets in the Business account and manage the permission and access level of these people and organizations.
We have a bunch of tutorials on how to add these assets and people to Meta Business suites, so check these tutorials out if you are interested in more detail:
- add Facebook pages to the Meta Business Suite
- add the Instagram Business account to the Business account
- add people to the Business Account , and assign them different Business Suite roles and permissions
- add Facebook ad account to the Meta Business Suite so you can run advertising
- add payment and billing information to your Facebook ads manager
- create the Meta Pixel, so you can take your Facebook and Instagram advertising to the next level
As Facebook sometimes bans and deactivates Meta Business accounts, it is a good idea to add any business data in the Business Settings section of your Meta Business Account.
Also, verify the Meta Business Suite account, so it is less likely that Facebook will ban your business account.
Can’t create new Meta Business Account
If you try to create a new Meta Business account but Facebook doesn’t allow you to do so, here is the most common issue.
Facebook doesn’t allow you to create more than two Meta Business accounts, so if you have already created two business account, you most likely won’t be able to create a new one.
Here is how you can troubleshoot this issue.
First, if you have one Meta Business account that you don’t really use, you can then delete that Meta Business account if you don’t bother.
Here is a tutorial on how to do that:
Or the second option is to ask a business partner, a relative or a friend to create a Meta Business account for you.
Once they have created a new Meta business account then they can add you the Meta business account as an admin and you can remove them from the business account if they are not involved in the business
When should you create a new Meta Business account?
Last but not least, ask yourself, do you really need to create a new Meta Business account?
If you use the Meta Business account the right way, you can also manage all your businesses in one business account.
However, to be on the safe side, it is always a good idea to create a second Meta Business account, so if you got a temporary or permanent block on your meta business suite account, you have a second account so you don’t have to stop the Facebook ad campaigns.
